A rodent trap is a trap designed to catch rats/mice. Food may be placed on the trip as bait. It’s usually set in an indoor location where there is a suspected infestation of rodents. Finding the “rodent zones”, put bait on the trap and place the trap along the walls or baseboards, keep it out of your way to avoid accidents.
